Lol the E MA vs CT crowd is def the largest active squabble in the subforum. It’s a friendly squabble for the most part but it took me a few years to realize how much PTSD the west of river crowd has from 2015.

Ray is really only more recently experiencing PTSD in the last 6-7 years. Scooter is now in active meltdown watch over the last two winters.

It's amusing to watch as we have exactly zero control over it so it's often perplexing as to why people are upset, or in some cases genuinely despise others for getting more snow.

I live in NYC but spend a lot of time here and the upstate NY/PA thread (as an avid skier I have a vested interest in both climates) , as well as the Mid Atlantic one (they're a fun group and always seem to be having a good time despite mother nature using them as her personal toilet for years) - and always find it amusing that everyone feels a bit superior over the region that gets less snow than them. There's probably someone from Valdez Alsaka lurking in this thread and rolling his eyes that we're getting excited about a few feet of snow.

It won’t take much to get me into the meteorological version of Chernobyl. Sort of Three Mile Island right now.

Friends and family wearing hazmat suits as they enter the Scooter household…kids out back being hosed down from radiation exposure after their dad went nuclear from a surface low tracking over the harbor in January.

Human nature. The regional battles pre-subforums were epic. I remember when Ekster trolled Nikolai(a poster from Mid-Atlantic back then if you don’t go back that far) one time when we all shared model threads. When a GFS run showed a huge mid-Atlantic jackpot 5 days out, he casually said something like “That’s in a great spot at 120 hours if you’re in Boston.” And all hell broke loose, lol. So many random squabbles like that.

I will never lose my "love" attachment to New England.
10 yrs. removed I still have my accent, still follow the best forecasting (most challenging) area in the Country. No challenge in forecasting in FL. --Sunny, 20% of a mid, late-day shower highs 90-95F night lows 65-70F... day after friggin day. OCM's get paid way too much as in any is too much. Nighttime lows in the 30's Omg call out the Nat. Guard.
Eastern Ma. admittedly I have a bias for as in SNOW baby, snow, snow, snow and still not enough.
I miss it terribly and why I try to participate in these discussions. The Premier Forum on the Internet with SNE having the finest members anywhere especially when it comes to Winter Storms!

IT GONNA SNOW!

I’m relatively bullish on this.
Feels like there’s multiple ways to have some impact… longwave pattern is decent, stronger northern energy and/or the slightest stream interaction gets at least some impact to 95 corridor/SNE…

Usual caveats, nothing is guaranteed at this point and details tbd… but the “thread the needle” outcome is OTS imo.

Well I won’t be up, but I know right away if it was a good set of runs. When there’s like 15 pages after 10p, good indication of some fun 00z runs. When there’s about 6 posts from Ineedsnow, it either sucked or it buried his village there in nrn ORH county.

lets bury this village!!!! :thumbsup::snowing::snowman::popcorn:
