My opinion on this is that its akin to an inverted trough...is it physically plausible that it could be correct? Sure, but I don't view this as a LBSW threat and thus it is likely a provisional offering while the GFS figures out how to engineer our blizzard.

Totally agree. This is as close to all or nothing as it gets imo.

With this wind and 9.0F, Its cold.

yeah its the wind. If it wasn't for the wind the 30F here would be much more tolerable. I can tolerate 25-30 (I hate it but tolerate it) but with wind....hellll no. I guess if there is a plus about this once we get back up to 35-45 that will feel more enjoyable.

I think NYC got a foot in January 2015.

9.8 inches to be exact, with places in eastern LI clocking in near 30 inches.

Was quite the disappointment here, but such is the nature of phasing storms and late-blooming Miller B's.

27.5 for that one (highest ever)

I recorded 30 inches in Brooklyn and was one of my favorite storms (though it was all gone in a few days).

Ok wow yeah I didn't realize there was that much in 2016 there. SnowGoose just explained what happened with NYC in Juno and why they got more than surrounding areas.

Yeah, that band he was referring to was some mesoscale pre band that was like 12-24 hours before the actual storm hit and made the bust a tiny more tolerable (not much though).
