Kind of disagree on that. With the few big solutions we’ve seen, it’s looked good down that way, maybe even better than up here because of the better structure and dynamics

I guess I should have been more specific....by "large", I mean a foot or more. Several inches, sure.

My fault.

If this phases and tucks then longitude matters. West will be best.

I still think the baja energy will lag. Hedging against the big solutions atm.

What will probably happen is a more normal type of low- medium impact storm vs the big boy. So it will probably snow .. but the big boy is very low prob

No damage in Tolland for you!

Good morning Northeast Crew, (as you can imagine, feeling the feels here at the pet hospital while my wife waits to put her cat down), just wanted to say that I have a hard time buying any run that gives the Mid-Atlantic, Northeast, *AND* Southeast a snowstorm and has a snowfall map looking like this. Got to watch the H5 evolutions on the 12 and 0z runs 8df0864f1a2e27fe1a282447867056d5.jpg

For the love of God--no snow maps until 36 hours before an event.  :)

Cosgrove had a defiant post last night....rain for the big cities, and cold not impressive...."up and down winter, just deal with it".

As you know there has been very little "up" for the northern tiered states so I'd like to know when he thinks the "up" part of winter is going to begin...

Right....I actually think he is pretty good, but tends to be pig-headed when things aren't going according to plan. I remember he was going for a pretty big winter back in 2022-2023 and never really did capitulate that it wasn't and didn't work out.

Ya, I remember you saying that. Just sad that he thrives on discord and trolling. Poor guy is right.

You know I've met many guys that are around my father's age that are just always constipated and cranky. A couple liters of prune juice would probably make the world look far more Rosy

Lol... I mean.. I think around 48 hours is fine.... At least by that point, if a storm is showing it will be a general hit... Then snow maps are ok, but that's my personal opinion.
