try as hard as you can to explain how a winter where you lose December can still be great.....it can't.....it could have always been greater.....so shut up

December hasn't been a total loss unless you were expecting a biggie, plenty of time and more likely in Jan and Feb anyway. Its Christmas, its cold, the grounds white and flakes are coming today, nothing wrong with that.

80's vibes. A biggie would be good but seems "meh" into the NY

Hmm, I can think of a couple exceptions...December '04 and December '14 sucked but the winters overall were great. I mean '14-'15 relative to east of the river wasn't but it was still above normal snow and of course the record cold in Feb '15.

Certainly don’t see issues with overnight runs. EPS bumped up heights out west vs 24 hours ago.

Yeah I think some people got sucked into the idea of a marginal threat prior to 1/3 or so….that’s prob where some of the whining is coming from. The ensembles look gangbusters still beyond that so don’t see anything that screams red flags for January.

I’ll be the first to point out when it sucks,  but I haven’t seen any big concerns yet.

Seems to be a mix to rain scenario here Sunday and Monday but with a decent amount of precipitation.  Maybe it can trend better if the high doesn’t retreat too fast.
