It seems that NAO and timing of northern and southern streams is really tenuous with model waffling in the medium range understandable.

Not disagreeing with those details.  It's just that i can't buy the general statement of "random luck".

I'm less worried about N stream, anyway...not that it doesn't matter, but there is more time to correct that.
