OK, just playing around.  Grok had this to say:

"The next major snowstorm for New England may potentially occur around early January, with model data pointing towards significant winter storm events sometime between January 7th and 12th. However, weather forecasts, especially long-range predictions, can change, so these dates and events should be considered tentative."

This kind of AI output is the kind that makes me feel like my job should be safe for a while. You could more or less copy and paste this every year and be fine.

The punch bowl that is 8-13 days out…that punch bowl?  This is comical.

What is your point? We are all aware of the range and inherent limitations....I didn't see people get called out for this when everyone was massaging one another's genitals after last night's runs...

I was in search of Kev's, but much to my chagrin all I could find was an innie

I’m just watching the ensembles. All of which are still very much on board for a snowy and cold time starting Jan 5th . I’ve said many times, I’ve never understood the wringing of hands, staying up all night for op runs , when they’re useless until 3 days out

I agree. I was up late last night writing, anyway....wasn't for the runs. Busy stretch with the holidays and 3 kids, so take time to do it when I can.

There’s a lot of posters here that sacrifice hours of sleep and parts of lives staying up until 3:00 AM for op runs . When they can simply go to bed, and see them in the morning.

FWIW-op runs are fully in by 1AM these days.  For those of us not needing to get up early and are night owls, that’s not too late.
