Let's hope we at least get one region-wide warning event for SNE. I like that period from 5th or 6th through mid-month. The weenies need this!
Snowcrazed71
I'll tell you what, with the sentiment being what it is in here, it's it has inspired me to look up past snowstorms for the whole region. It's been awhile since I sat here and just looked up past storms for any given winter in our area. Brings back a lot of memories.

Any lower (hell even in the 980’s this could become a concern) you start to worry about precip shield becoming more banded…which has screwed us in the past. Really hoping this period around the 10th works. edit 70’s to 80’s What's wrong with increased banding? Is it just that it isolates high totals to localized areas? If precipitation becomes too banded then you're dealing with too many subsidence zones. There were a few big ones I think this happened with in the early 2010's. Areas that got into the subsidence zones got screwed mightily.

weatherwiz
I can't remember which one it was...maybe it was 2013? But I remember getting royally screwed in West Hartford...I mean I think I still got around a foot or so but a far cry from the 18-24'' expected. I remember alot of pissed off people that night because the radar was just so bandy...it was like looking at a tropical system.

It was more from marshfield south that had some issues. I think Logan had at least 17”. Had almost 20 here. The tides were the biggest issue. Pretty much unprecedented flooding, surge higher than blizzard of 78. Luckily we didn’t have the wave action otherwise the coast would have been devastated. Unfortunately the real devastation happened two months later. One of the most powerful nor’easters I’ve witnessed. Was mostly rain though. Referring to the March 7 2018 storm? That was way more painful for me than it should have been. I still believed in dynamic cooling then…
