ECM almost "three peats" a 3rd winter weather event that weekend 

Is there some kind of universal truth happening here between weather and sports lol

ECM ensembles really good for next week more MECS'y than the OP

I feel like late February is kind of a winter storm "no man's land" for the area and much of PA.  When was the last time there was a late February snow of significance?  1987?

Things get more dicey mid-March as spring ushers in unusual and fluctuating weather patterns, but I feel like late Feb is often quiet.  Maybe the data doesn't back that up and I'm wrong, though.

Correct the last week of this month has been unkind over the years. My last big score was 11" from the blizzard on 2/25/10

I'm pretty sure we all scored big during the second half of February 2015. I've never seen the bottom fall out of the thermometer like this:

18z GFS with a long duration event next Tues-Wed. Snow starts Tuesday morning and doesn't fully exit the area until Wednesday afternoon. Heavy snow misses to the south but it still gives us 6-12".

Oh man…the 0z Euro is a dream run for the I-78 corridor. Ultra long duration storm starting late Monday night and not ending until Wednesday morning. Stripe of 20+” from Harrisburg to Allentown to NYC.

GFS/Euro ensembles still love the Tues-Wed threat with another signal for Thurs-Fri appearing right on its heels.

6z GFS with storm, after storm, after storm, after storm lol. The 12th system took a pretty big jump N. Fun times fellas.

A busy wintry period of weather with 3 impactful winter events over the next 6 days. The first arrives late tonight with a brief snow to sleet to freezing rain. Several models show around 0.30" of ZR across Western Chester County which could result in slippery travel and power outages with that much ice. We get a break tomorrow afternoon through most of Saturday before snow arrives again on Saturday night before transitioning again to a messy mix before ending by Sunday morning. Snow may arrive again later Monday night and last until Tuesday.

Looks like the 12Z runs took a slight step back.  Still storm on storm. Just not sure where the lines will set up. 

Super Bowl Sunday Morning is beginning to look interesting as well.
