.30" rain total :thumbsdown:

Still have white patches in northern facings so there's that

Still a hot mess of a pile in the shopping center parking lot. Probably was a closet weenie snow plow guy doing the KamuSnow thing on a larger scale...

Here in the Philly burbs....January of 2025 finished as the 29th coldest first month of the year in 133 years of Chester County PA records back to 1893. The 9.1 degree below zero reading at Warwick Township was the coldest reading in the last 31 years here in Chester County since the 12 below zero at Hopewell/Elverson and 11 below at Coatesville back on January 19, 1994. While we finished with above normal snowfall for the month we also experienced our 3rd driest January behind only 1955 and 1981.

We could see some light snow showers moving through especially Northern Chester Berks Counties late this afternoon into the evening. Some spots may see a coating of snow. Well below normal temperatures today warm to well above normal for both Monday before it turns colder again during the day on Tuesday. This will set the stage for a wintry mess Wednesday PM into Thursday morning. We should see snow overspreading the area with a quick change to sleet and then freezing rain. Warmer Thursday and we turn chillier again by next weekend with another shot of winter weather by Saturday.

I'll take a good heavy duty ZR storm. We suck at snowstorms so may as well take a different route to wintery weather...

GFS has a few hits and was loading up a KU event at the end of the run. Groundhog will be right.

and Dr No shows how many things can go wrong of course. Keeping in mind the snow maps for the pre superbowl storm are overdone and would be mostly ice vs snow your talking 3-6" snow through the 17th on the ECM. Haven't seen the EPS I hope they are better.

* yes they improved

Yeah the ECM OP was a garbage screw run the EPS members are great

Eps is just insane. The mean snowfall maps for after the 10th thru the 17th are off the charts. Tbh havent seen such a strong snowstorm signal at this range since possibly Jan 2016. Major signal across the board.
