Maybe.  I don't have a clear view out to 1,320 feet, but I did take my drone up and I couldn't see RT 42 in Washington Township, which is about 800 ft away.

Observations under that enhanced area of snow on the radar are no where near 1/4 mile in snow. It is snowing pretty good under that here at the office, but visibility is above 1 mile.

Still have SN- to SN and got a measurement of 1" IMBY in NW Philly so far (~8:10 pm).  It's wet stuff and there's lots of dripping going on as the temp has been right around freezing.  Walks and streets are still wet but cars, grassy areas, and colder surfaces are covered.

Currently 32 & dp 32, with light snow and fog.

Just took a walk out to the snow board in the field for an 'official' measurement and we're at 1.75" and still snowing moderately. Best rates of the day 31F.

2.2" with light snow

The ivt is dangerously close to pulling to my east, your probably going to get the highest total the way it looks right now

Because you said 'heavy snow' and I was curious about the visibility. Just wanted to double check. Carry on...

Sorry, my response may have come across as a bit crass.  My apologies.  Could only see what I could see and that was through a camera and couple hundred feet above the surface.  My personal visibility is about 100 feet due to a tree line.  lol

Any reports from Philly, proper, yet?  Haven't noticed any in this thread.  Thanks.

Here in south philly near the Italian market it has been steady snow since about 3 pm. Steady moderate to heavy snow since maybe 6 pm? However virtually no accumulation. Got a thin crust on the grill and some, but not all, cars. Don't even have a thermometer but it seems like it's a couple degrees over freezing. Great set up in terms of this band of snow that's been parked overhead, but temps simply too warm. Very pretty to watch fall though!

Ok, kids, game on! We got 3/8" in the last hour for an hourly rate of - wait for it - 3/8" per hour, lol. Snowing moderately at 33F and accumulating everywhere except on paved surfaces - nice dendrites, so the snow growth aloft must be nice in the dendritic growth zone. Radar looks good for awhile, so 1-2" is certainly in reach. Let's see how it goes. My wife and I just went for a very nice walk outside - it's just gorgeous out there!

Any snowfall reports from Philly?  Heard it's snowing hard, as per the radar, but no idea if it's accumulating (a friend in center city said not on the streets yet, but that's not a surprise).

Just drove from West Philly to East Falls (NW Philly) through West Fairmount Park. Pretty much just cars and north-facing yards covered in the city, but it was really snowy up in the hills in Fairmount park, probably an inch on all the trees and unpaved surfaces. Here in NW Philly everything is covered but the road, maybe 1/2”
