Fully expecting our area to get shafted. All it would take is for the development to be delayed by 6 -12 hours.
East off 95 is in a great spot.

From experience, we typically need the northern stream to dig more or else the coastal will get going too late. However, this looks more like a miller hybrid so we can still get a snowstorm out of it if the cutoff low takes a northern route.

To amped or out to sea?

More worried about OTS with the seasonal trend and every ens suite worsening in that direction… but amped would hurt me more. Sorry NE crew

You're one of our strongest. Get back out there on the front lines and fake a smile if you have to. Whatever it takes, we got this.

I’m still very scared

Not going lie. Don't like the eps individual members at all.

Most have the max SE of DC.

It's an Imby game and I'm tired of being fringed up here. I can see where this is heading.

Honestly if we end up with 3 or 4 up here along the M/D line and places south get a foot+ I'm probably going to have to take a beak for a while lol.

Everyone can feel however they want but the Euro/ eps runs were  discouraging to me.

I feel better about getting 6” of snow as a floor in DC. I feel worse about SE being the way to lose this. Overall a better morning for me.

I’d really like a foot, which is “duh” I guess

I counted 30 of the 50 eps members that really put the northern tier on the fringes. Obviously we still see some snow but not what we all want.

I do too...and you know how I feel about my yard. 6" being the floor for DC would be a disaster up here. Not getting at LEAST 6-7" is a fail, imo It would be the same dang thing that's gone on for 6 years and I am so over it, smh

This being my first time tracking a major snowstorm on this forum but is everyone always this crazy? I mean even if this ends up being 4-8 that is an incredibly solid storm imo, ig I just don’t understand the negativity.

We've really missed out on the good stuff compares to other places more south

Your area has done much better than the screw zone some of us have been in. 4-8" would be fine...but if 4-8 happens with this storm to that would mean the same folks would be closer to the 4" mark.

Yep...this is starting to feel like another screw job in the making. We're not there yet, but what WxUSAF just shared about the weaking of that piece in the NS on the eps has me concerned. We need that to stop and/or reverse course. If it doesn't...mercy.

I'm posting all this in here to not clog up the Medium range thread with the woah is me talk but I'm not interested in 2 to 4 if other places close by are getting 15"

I got 18 hours in a row of pixie dust on Tuesday. Totaling 2" lol.

I think most anti-negativity is not so much about what you describe (2-4 vs 15) as...people who get upset they might get a foot+ of snow instead of two+ feet bc a model showed two feet before. But maybe you feel that way too. Not sure of the geography of those complaints but it's obv worse if they've had a good winter to date and are whining

But -- unless I'm missing something it's not that many people. It seems like it only takes a single complaint for a dozen people to be like omgggg the meltdownsss it's pandemonium this place is off the rails etc which is why I advocate ignoring people who make truly ridiculous complaints.

It hasn't been that great of a winter compared to areas south. I'm a little over 50% climo for my area. Some areas are already at or over there average snowfall for the season.

For me it's not really about getting a foot when the previous model showed 2ft. It's getting 3" while a place 100 miles SE of me gets 15"

I would never post this stuff in the main thread.

That's why I'm in the panic thread lol.

I know...I was contrasting your POV vs someone complaining ridiculously.

It's been rough north, for me too, though I have way shittier climo

I'm at 12.7 inches for the year.  40% climo.  Haven't seen a 6" snow fall in stephens city since Jan 2016 (when I was in cross junction I had 3).  Seeing another storm fringe the NW zone is beyond frustrating.

Pretty much the same story in Baltimore. Listen you know this winter is just bad luck if we can't even get 6 inches in our yards from a system like this...I mean that would be insane.

Figured I’d see you in here. Have you ever considered visiting the beautiful city of Richmond? I hear its a great snow town

Man at this point I would jettison any chance of snow imby under the sole condition that you rain.

No offense of course.
