I suppose this annual "safe space" must be made available for those who are too emotionally invested in a Mid Atlantic climo which is increasingly unfriendly to snow, so that they can pull out their hair and rend their garments over something that they can't control -- particularly because that stuff pollutes and clogs up the main obs/analysis threads. Too bad we can't make virtual cookies and virtual coloring books available here, too.  :wacko2:

I mean, I sort of get it...living here over 30 years, I used to get that upset over the continual snow-related rug-pulls as recently as 5-10 years ago. But I'm old now, and I just cannot give into that level of unneeded stress any more.

YOU ARE THE REAPER! You need to Don that Garment of Death!  You need to rule the Eastern Realms with extreme prejudice!!!

This is going to be a very mild winter nationwide! They are going to get 12 feet of RAIN at Mammoth in Feb 2025 and I will require a Reaping! This entire sub will need massive amounts of Reaping! Get your azz out of Retirement and get back on the Job!

Lots of shit posts in the long-range thread that would be better off in here, where shit posts go to die.

Mods should’ve given me the ability to really reap posters for the winter. Something about lawsuits scared ‘em. Wrongful death and such.

Lol if u say so

Well he’s not wrong. Consider this, you say 3-3.5 months of winter. But with a nina-like -PDO pattern along with CC, each of those winter weeks are going to tilt warmer than colder. Say 60% warmer to 40% colder. That takes away 2 months of winter, leaving us with 1-1.5 months of “cold enough for snow” to work with… if that.

That lines up with what EJ is saying.
