Hahahaha what? Not even close.

Yes. I said it. Jeanty played a G5 schedule and when he went up against a P4 defense he managed a measley 102 yards on 35 carries.

Skattebo played a P4 schedule and is playing probably the best defensive front on the country and has 135 yes on 21 carries.

Jeanty was a relative non-factor last night. Skattebo just threw a 42 yard TD on top of his higher yardage versus a better defensive front.

He's a better player. He's a better runner.

I agree but no matter that Jeanty is an NFL player for sure

They're both NFL elites but one player had a historical, generational season... playing San Jose State. And the other played in conferences that have actual defenses.

Big 12 defense is bad for P4, but Kansas's defense is still light years better than Fresno State.

The guy is definitely a player. I just don’t see the speed that Jeanty has that will be necessary in the NFL. Great college football player, but I don’t think it’ll transfer to the next level.

Cam Skattebo's future in the NFL is the same as Kayton Allen's. They aren't going to be speedsters. They're going to be battering rams.

This 100% illustrates my point last night regarding what should happen and what does happen. This game has no business being tied...but here we are.

I personally think too much credit is given to big conference schools.  Boise out gained psu last night and ran through their defense like doo doo through a goose.  But a couple bad turnovers, two missed fg's and the better team won...but the talent was not far apart imo.

#4 plays with a lot of heart and passion.  Most coaches would want him on their teams.

The thing that makes Skattebo better is that he's more versatile. Jeanty is so little used in the receiving aspect of football. He was an absolute non-factor last night because Penn State knew they do not use him on screen packages as frequently as most teams do with their runners. Skattebo has 83 yards receiving and 1 TD pass on top of 133 yards rushing and a TD. He may not be the fastest runner, but he is violent and creates a ton of missed tackles. He is going to be a coaches wet dream.

I get it, but the ACC at-large was G5 up until this year and they weren't it. The G5 representative got a lot of yards because the big conference school dedicated their entire game plan to stopping one man, and their secondary is not the best.

There really should be a G5 playoff.
