I’m somehow still awake at a family holiday gathering in Northumberland. Let’s just say it’s been a long day ha. Big bounce back by the B10 today. Also solid snowpack up here. They’ll have a white Xmas for sure. I love everything, mainly penn state and snowpacks, but also everything. My uncle keeps feeding me Labatts, so there’s that.

A great day for you.  Enjoy!

10 degrees this morning.
Tomorrow morning I have a big brisket smoke. Not looking forward to the cold. :snowing:

No real surprises or upsets yesterday.

do you have a thermal blanket for your smoker?  I've got a Green Mtn pellet smoker that has the blanket.  It's a big help in temp control and pellet usage in the cold months.

check it out.  https://www.bestproductguider.com/best-thermal-blanket-for-pellet-grill/

I've tried with and without, and yeah, over the long haul, worth the coins IMO.  Mind you mine came w/ purchase off FB market, but I'd spend it knowing how it helps.

Enjoy smoking the brisket.  at least beers wont get warm :).

6z Euro just came in with over running snows late Christmas night into the 26th for the "usual spots" so far this year.

Euro timing is a little later & a little further north than the 6z GFS, but it might be something to watch around Christmas.

The much more interesting period should be underway in early January. I think we will be starting to hone in later this week on specific threats for sometime in the first week of January.

If we don't ALL score in January with AN snow totals, I'll be more shocked and pissed than all of the last 3 winters combined.

Did not matter what conference you were, being home meant the world in the first round of games  Clemson BYR FAR (IMO) had the best showing of the roads teams.  Saw someone say Tenn did not fold.  Well the fold was coming.  Clemson was 1 yard away from making it a one score game and could not punch it in.  Indiana off the mat a bit after watching the SEC and ACC get blown out of road games yesterday.   In the end TN looked as bad as SMU to me.

That was me in response to them falling behind 21-0 early and then rallying to make it 21-10 by halftime. At that point, they had NOT folded...I never said they wouldn't in the 2nd half, but at the half, they had not.

Yup. If they had scored on their opening 2nd half possession that game goes sideways potentially really fast.

Instead they didn’t and got absolutely run off the field. That version of OSU is unbeatable.

This morning was our coldest readings since last January 17th with temperatures dropping to as low as 8.8 degrees at Nottingham and 9.8 degrees at Warwick Park. Today will be about 20 degrees below our normal high temperatures in the low to mid 40's. More spots tonight may drop into the single digits for low temperatures. Well below normal again tomorrow before we moderate back to close to normal for the remainder of 2024. There is a chance of a little snow toward Christmas Eve morning and again by Friday night.
