Central PA Winter 2024/2025

Just an awesome scene here.  Been snowing good for a while now.  All surfaces except roads covered.  I'm about to head out for State College here in a few minutes.  The cameras actually look way better up that way, in terms of not having snow.  It appears we are making out better than them, with the coastal influence providing a nice little bounce for us easterners.  This goes down as a win in my book.  I'll check in from Happy Valley later tonight.  Cheers gents!

Something tells me that someone north of Philly is going to get several inches. Radar looks incredible over that way.

How much for Philly?  And I saw your sad face on my post, we are already near 5" for the season here so I am not sad.  Albeit all sloppy snow that melted within 12 hours.

I’m counting down the minutes until CTP’s 5 pm climate summary…

Will they post more than a “T” of snow?

Stay tuned…

Well, CTP has the MDT 5 pm summary listed today as .08 of precip, but the snow is “MM” for missing data.

I will need to wait until 2 am to see the daily snow calculation…

Easters scoring the win this time.  I have no snow on the ground for any spotters from Dillsburg and west.

I have been on the western edge of it all day with snow since before 8am. But thanks to a spike in temps during light lulls, it warmed to 34 so I  have snow on the grass but not 100% coverage. Still missing a real accumulation this year. But, light snow continues as the end is very near and it remains beautiful and festive for the season.

We had a drought buster today.  .2" of precip with no accum.    Got to 41.   Blue Ridge Summit/Pen Mar Scored a 42.
