Caveman Posted February 15 Share Posted February 15 1.5" on my board; won't melt it until tomorrow morning...I have observed no sleet to this point but i haven't been hanging outside all day either, but each jaunt outside...all snow every time. It's varying in intensity. It was bringing it about 30 mins to and hour ago! Valley Green, northern York County. During the past hour I recorded an additional 0.3" of snowfall, bringing the storm total to 1.0". The temperature has risen to 31.5 degrees. The radar seems to indicate that a bit more snow may be coming. Ironically, if my total stays close to 1", my NWS forecast for up to an inch will verify. There is some sort of disturbance diving down from Canada that is shunting this SE. If this trends stronger we'll likely get nothing. If it weakens, we're in the game. During the past hour the snow kept diminishing while a little bit of sleet and freezing rain had fallen. Currently, my temp has risen above freezing to 32.5 degrees. There is a mixture of very light sleet and rain. I melted down my 1.0" of snow and measured 0.15" for an SLR of 7:1. I'm certain there was some sleet that was caught in my gauge, which erroneously increased the liquid. However, for "official" purposes what I measured stands. Yea, that was the phase possibly before...and still is...but this entire situation is 1) Way too far out to assume good or bad 2) too much about timing on some of the progs.
