Agreed. Based on base state alone, it should be a fun and somewhat wintery period at peak climo for snow. Just looking at the maps makes us weenies tingle a bit.

Earlier look shows us eeking out upper 30 to low 40s at best. Slow melt, but grass n frozenish tundra likely will hold some leftovers. Sons and freind both in excavating, and both say between 6-8" freeze line in soil dependant on location (as of yesterday)

Voyager
32.2 here, so I've crossed the threshold. Getting the heaviest precipitation of the event right now as well, which, of course is just plain rain.

I hope you understood that.

Me too. I do think it will snow next week, I feel about as comfortable with that as I could be 5 days out. I feel far less confident in us getting a moderate to heavy snowfall. It's just too early in the game and there's plenty of ways for this to regress. Years and years of colossal fails have jaded both of us. It's not a sure thing until it's piling up. 1

Not a huge fan, but being 6 lbs from my target weight of 200 that I'da never thought i'd hit 5 yrs ago, its a necessary evil. Also being good, cause Sbowl weekend will likely see the badder side of me.

CarlislePaWx
I'm up to 34.0 and there has been very little melting of the sleet. The small icicles on the tree branches are almost gone. I need the temp to go up so I don't have to shovel my sidewalk...lol. Actually, it's a good time to try out the 35 pounds of ice melt I bought last week. Extremely environmentally friendly. Can't harm pets. You can apply it directly on grass and no harm to vegetation. Hey, I'm slowly talking myself into getting out the melt...haha. Bubbler86
LSV doing their LSV thing and holding temps lower than modeled. Some 36's now but still a lot below 35. Up to 40 here.
