So I someone just wandered onto this amazing weather links page that Jon Nese, the Penn State University associate chair for the undergrad department of meteorology, kept in pretty much the same format from the 90s when I'm guessing it was first put online. It's organization is incredible and the overall depth is as well. It scrolls down like the equivalent of 10 pages deep in today's website design. Regardless I found like five or six very interesting tools all focused on the upcoming winter weather that I never knew existed in a couple minutes of looking at the page.

Were any of my southern friends awake during the overnight hours to see if we had a brief period of snow to start things off or was it straight sleet from the get-go?  As of now, I'm leaning towards just putting IP/ZR as my precip types in my spreadsheet, with the caveat that some plain rain is yet to come.

Woke up earlier and saw everything on or near the ground was white.  It was all sleet.  Some time before 7:00 light freezing rain mixed in and by 8:00 the temp had risen to 32.2 degrees.  So, that's the end of anything frozen or freezing.  From what I can tell at least a 1/2" of sleet had fallen and then a light glaze of freezing rain on top.

It's raining moderately here now at 9:14am with the temp holding at 32.2 degrees.  Since the precip had changed to all liquid I decided to melt down my sleet (with a little freezing rain thrown in).  Total liquid was 0.33".  Using 3:1 ratio the total amount of sleet was probably closer to one inch.  With the level of whiteness all around it seems there must have been more than 1/2" of sleet.  I missed out on any convection overnight.  It was quiet the whole night.

For my area there was a few hours of IP which accumulated 0.3” if that helps.   Had .51” liquid at 7am

I was up when it started. I did not see any snow at all. Straight up sleet, some of which fell moderately. Temp fell from 32.7 at onset down to a low of 30.3. Currently it's 31.6. Going with .3" of accumulation.

Temp rise is agonizingly slow - only up .4 degrees over the past 2.5 hours.

My ring camera showed snow.
