Voyager
Things got kind of quiet outside. Either it slowed down/stopped, or we have more frz rain now and less sleet. Gotta go check. Temp holding steady at 26.
Bubbler86
29 with a coating of sleet and a nice freeze on the trees and sidewalk. People are driving the roads so guess they are not "too bad" but have not driven myself. 81 traffic cams looks like people are moving decently. Pretty uniform low 30's in the LSV. A few 29's.
sauss06
I didn't have any trouble on the roads. There was a couple greasy spots but if one doesn't drive like an A-hole they should be ok. Freezing rain has stopped in Harrisburg for now.
Voyager
Ok. I didn't see this one coming, but right now I have 100% snow falling. No rain. No pings. Just a light snow with moderate sized flakes.

Looks showery and I would think temps are above freezing by 9-10 in colder areas. CXY already up to 33 or 34. HRRR has the middle and southern LSV getting to 45-50 today but will see if that works out over your guys way. Probably will here.
Bubbler86
Frankly I am surprised with the temps in the LSV. Only one of the NWS spots got below 30 and that was MUI. LNS. MDT, THV, CXY, LNS all stayed 30 and above. With those DP's it seemed they would get into the 20's but I fear we often think too much of that and this is a case today. DP's in the mid teens and temps in the low 30's and temps only dropped 1-2 degrees during saturation.
Mount Joy Snowman
Only about a tenth of an inch of combined sleet and ice out there but it's enough to have everything caked. Schools have closed. A bit underwhelming but we have a more potent batch approaching the area, likely as freezing rain. We'll see what that does as the temp hovers at 31. Glad to hear next week's event is still showing up nicely.

Chris78
@Bubbler86 I think we may be in a decent spot for Tuesday. I'm ok with being on the northern edge of the good precip 5 days out. I think in this pattern the north trend will be real. After Tuesday we may have to endure a couple rainers till the SER gets beaten down again

Tuesday is our hope for snow. We are in a golden spot right now. What are things like down your way this AM? We got a good bit of sleet here. Nice coating of sleet topped with freezing rain on the decks but roads and pavement appear to be just wet. Higher elevations must be dicy. Saturday looks a bit wintrier for us LSV'rs, and then we wait for Tuesday and hope for something appreciable.

I'm just hoping for a more wintery look than what this one produced. Beats cold rain though. If we can eek out a bit of front end loving on Sat system it appears that we stay more frozen, so that could help us for next week if enough gets laid down. Fun times.
