You buying a new house in McSherrystown? Lol

My wife wanted to stop at that fancy pants crochet/knitting shop in town...I like McSherrystown.   Good old fashioned bones.  I am sure there are a ton of new houses outside the main street stuff.    I am perfectly fine overlooking the large Ringgold Valley below me where I currently sit.  LOL.  I like the conveniences of Hanover but not the hustle and bustle.

I went home via 30 and noted New Oxford still had some Christmas Decorations up.    Maybe the maintenance team is afraid to navigate the traffic circle.

Watching the most clear of images I have seen so far, at this link, just makes it hard to understand how the copter did not know.  Understanding the plane is above it and descending as they get closer, the lights on the plane are super bright and one would think even night vision would have caught something in their angle of vision at least in the last 10-15 seconds.  If they can't see that plane in that position, visual separation should never be an allowed tactic.

I haven't had a chance to check the credibility of the information that I just found, but apparently the black hawks flight commander on the ground signed off on training the mission knowing that the crew was short there left hand side crew cheaf.  Apparently, that should have never happened on a training flight at night with heavy air traffic.

I asked about a new home because Myers has a new subdivision at the intersection of Elm Street (Rt. 116) and Centennial, where the Food Lion sits. Big lots and crazy high prices. Can't people pay all that money for what you get for this area.

I forgot to add, I'd never give up a mountain spot for the lowlands. Never!

One interesting thing I noted was that rumor has it the female pilot was managing the flight but the back and forth with the ATC was a male pilot.    I have not heard yet that they have released the internal convos on the copter.   Watching the hi-res view of the copter ramming the plane is truly like a theatrical movie thing.  Sad.

Plus with the current interest rates.  I would rather pay cash and live in downtown McSherrystown vs pay interest.  Real Estate has to cool down at some point.    I saw the development you spoke of.  Utilities sticking up on empty lots, etc.   Think I saw a house or two built or being built.

I got lost today trying to avoid the traffic.  Saw an entrance for the Vulcan quarry and thought I was on the other side...did not realize there is more than one entrance.

All things considered, I am really happy with modeling and what people who follow teleconnections (I like to stay more in MR and SR) are saying for the next 2-4 weeks.    Happy being stated from someone who wants more winter weather.   Those progs that showed several days in a row of 60's and 70's have been pushed aside for now.  Some op progs still show some outputs of 50's or 60's in between cold spells but the second half of Feb currently looks like this to most people skilled in LR forecasting.  Sucks for energy bills but good for discussion and tracking.  I still think Feb has a better chance to be BN vs AN.  This map below is record setting cold for mid Feb.

Part of me actually fears the cold pushing storms off the coast or to the south. I just haven't decided whether it's a big or small part that's fearing it. Lol

Yea it is like a dance to see if we can show well enough for snow but not showboat where the girl walks away.    Either way cold and dry or cold or cool and snow/ice is better than 70's in Feb IMO.   Apologies to Voyager.

We just left Passerine haha. Popped in there after grabbing dinner at Double C. Now we are in East Petersburg at the reopened Josie’s Pub.

Here in the Philly burbs....January of 2025 finished as the 29th coldest first month of the year in 133 years of Chester County PA records back to 1893. The 9.1 degree below zero reading at Warwick Township was the coldest reading in the last 31 years here in Chester County since the 12 below zero at Hopewell/Elverson and 11 below at Coatesville back on January 19, 1994. While we finished with above normal snowfall for the month we also experienced our 3rd driest January behind only 1955 and 1981.
