Blizzard of 93
I’ll be plenty worried about temps & precip types under 72 hours if we have a somewhat workable track.

Appears to be a big-time inversion night and my current house is just a wee bit too high to take advantage of it. My low was 14. That's 12 above my forecast low. She had never been and always wanted to go and I hadn't been there since 3/77. It was much better than I remembered and worth it. I should have taken a picture of the entrance but they have not plowed or anything even down at the beginning of the Front Royal area before the guard/gate. They did not get get that much snow down here so did not even think to check. Was going to look at some of the "ice walls" where the water is coming out of the mountain along the roads. I have been in the Caverns near Hummelstown and it was cool, may feel chilly right now. Never in Luray at this point.

Blizzard of 93
Good thing MU’s call of a 20 day Winter followed by a January warm up panned out… Lots of forecasters, including JB, are trying to save their Winter calls by rooting on a February warm up. Time will tell, but NO one called for a frigid January. In summary, no pro forecaster or good hobbyist has any clue what the last 2 months of Winter will hold. Jns2183
I'm all for giving people false hope of early spring before crushing their will with a frigid snowy march. Sent from my SM-G970U1 using Tapatalk 1
mahantango#1
According to DT the warm up will only last February 1-8 than its back to winter part 2. That a far cry from a 2 to 3 week warm up from about a week ago.

Blizzard of 93
Honestly I hope it warms up a bit, but brings a more active pattern with chances every 4 or 5 days. We will likely lose some, but we can win some too. Just bring me snow like the 18z GFS on February 6th this run, Lol!
