One thing I’ve learned, models useless within 12 hours of the event.

I have been fooled too many times by that HRRR thinking I was in for another foot of snow and ended up with an inch additional.

.

Yeah I agree. While I love the hunt, I really love the snow more. Done this for too long and at some point ya just gotta let it b what it’s gonna b and stop obsessing over qpf outputs.  We’ve been jipped a plenty down here so it’s nice to see one come in pretty much as advertised.

I did look to see how the 18z models did, other than the Euro, and they all had that same heavy stripe of 4-5" after 1pm that was on the 12z runs.

6:30: Light snow. Temp is 23.5. Average of 3 measurements is 6.2". About 4-5" on the driveway. For the first time in over 1,000 days...it's time to shovel!

It’s fluffy! It looked heavy to me early but wasn’t too bad.

with temps the way they are forecasted even with a slight warm up a week out this snow should stick around till end of the month

Did that hurt? Typing something that didn't poo-poo the whole thing?

I got about ~6.5 on pavement. So a good 2” difference.

That was modeled pretty well I think.  Most models had you guys getting 1-3" more over there regardless of what totals they showed.   I busted real low on you guys but undercutting the models.    Congrats!  I should have stuck with my first call for you.

I got 6 and 6.25 in more sheltered locations. I guess I'll officially go with 6" at this point unless anything significant falls later. Nice event overall, and some of the heaviest rates I've seen in years.

Now, bring on spring... :P
