There's light stuff on radar, but I wasn't sure if it was making it together ground.

It's fluffy now and I should be getting some sleepy accumulations as a result. LOL. Accumulating snow stopped here around 4:30. Going with 5.5 and 4 on pavement. It has been snowing lightly since then but nothing that I can measure.

Jns2183
Looks like I'm going to finish in the 8.5"-9" range. A remarkable over preformer made even more remarkable with how it looked from 10am till 1pm. Sent from my SM-G970U1 using Tapatalk
AccuChris
The freaking Canadian seems to have nailed this one going back to last Tuesday. That’s never happened in the history of snow I bet! It means that the GEM and RGEM were not totally crazy with their 9-11” ranges a few days ago. Someone is getting 10” out of this in the LSV.
Ruin
question 1 any formula on record on how much snow pack lowers temps esp during a artic outbreak? 1 inch vs like 7 inchs etc. I remember a retired met said if we had some snow cover this coming artic outbreak temps could be 5-7 below forecast. so with temps at 20 to mid teens for highs would they be that much lower? I would expect over night lows forecast single digits may go -.
Yardstickgozinya
Three different spots checked all 9" to 9.25" Definitely some drifting out here but that's the fastest 9" I've ever seen.
Storm Clouds
Whatever snow doesn’t get removed off roads tonight is going to turn into a glacier for the next several days. It’s supposed to be 16 tonight for a low! I’m a school teacher…already have tomorrow off because of MLK day, but something tells me lots of schools will be off at least Tuesday as well. Not to mention the bitter cold.

Nice event. didn’t look at models all day. Just enjoyed the view. One thing I’ve learned, models useless within 12 hours of the event.I have been fooled too many times by that HRRR thinking I was in for another foot of snow and ended up with an inch additional. .
