I do not see back to the freezer but it chills down some then warms up again. GFS is an ebb and flow highs in the 40's and 50's much of the rest of the run. After today, only one day staying in the 30's...this coming Thursday. For now, I clicked Lanco for P&C and see 3 days in the 50s and one day in the upper 50's. A Better pattern with Winter storm chances should set back up as we approach Christmas.

Large differences between it and GFS/EC. Since DT is Captain EC he cant now like his "Winter is here" post from earlier this week.

In January 77', couple of friends and I went to Sandy Point State Park on the west side of the Chesapeake Bay bridge and walked out on the frozen Chesapeake Bay around 200'. Once in a lifetime chance at doing that. Otoh, BWI had around 12" for that winter, so the winter itself sorta sucked in my feeble weenie mind.

Yes we were walking on the Susquehanna River out to the middle of it. Then the ice became thin near rapids. Then we wnt back and got off the river. I think there is a Jeep still in the river around Marysville. My cousin said there was a few guys joy riding on the frozen river and the Jeep broke through. The guys got out ok but the Jeep sunk. And I think it was a new Jeep. To this day I think it was never recovered, it went down in a deep hole around Marysville.

What I wasn't prepared for when we went out was it was not smooth. It was a bunch of slippery, sharp-edged chunks in varying sizes. I almost fell a couple of times and still remember thinking how lucky I was I didn't because I know I'd have been real sorry if I had. Lol

Lol It was dangerous out there as you said. But being young, danger was an invitation to conquer. I remember we found a tire and stood it up in the middle of the river and made an orange makeshift flag and stood it up beside the tire. And when traffic came went by our small town they could not help notice the thing we made out on the river.
ChescoWx
Temperatures today will continue to be below normal for early December but will begin a moderating trend tomorrow that will peak on Wednesday before a return to colder weather to finish out the work week. Of note rain is likely both Monday afternoon into the evening and again Tuesday PM through Wednesday night. We could see as much at 1.50" inches of rain across the area.
