23 degrees here and just shy of an inch as light to moderate snowfall seems to be increasing in intensity.  What stands out the most to me this morning is that potent band along the route 6 corridor in northern PA.  I mean, CTP had basically zero snow forecast for Tioga County.  I swear, if those turkeys do better than us with a setup where the main concern was everything being shunted south.....aye.  For the record, I do not think they'll score more than us, just surprised to see that on the radar to that extent.  Anyway, there's snow falling so happy Monday everyone!

It’s pretty evident that some of the better mid-level forcing is currently residing further north. Best band of snowfall right now appears to be residing all the way up between I-80 and US 6 corridor. Looking at mesoanalysis, this coincides with the area of 700mb frontogenesis and thickest dendritic growth zone layer. This may be the result of the 700mb being further north and more robust + temp advection in that layer.

A lot of people crying bust in the MA forum, but decent totals from some posters.

Moderate here here now I would guess with maybe 2" eyeballing it, maybe less.

Northern area of forcing some were counting definitely way north as Mag showed. Whatever the totals end up being, looks to snow all day into tonight, which is great in my book.

22.5 this morning with -SN falling. Just measured 1" on the nose. Beautiful scene. Probably won't be big totals but enjoying what's falling.

If I had one wish, let's cover my grass blades today. I did not do my traditional snow mow as the last few years it seemed like it was a curse. Plus, I didn't want to further embarrass my weather friends by padding my total. :) My grass is about 2" in height.

Us weather geeksl MUST be wired the same.

My backyard bar for any event, is to NOT see my grass blades stickin out.

When cleaning patios or paths to woodbin, I will kick snow over exposed grass wherever i can.

thanks for the chuckle.  Nice to know I am in good company for being a whacko.
