ChescoWx
A few snow showers are across the area this AM. Temps today will struggle to get much above 30 degrees in most spots. Sunny tomorrow before snow arrives toward Monday morning. Any potential snow should be over by Monday evening. Well below normal temperatures but dry all this coming week before our next potential snow event next weekend.
Mount Joy Snowman
The short-term guidance is helping to ease my nerves ha. I haven’t been able to check any models today but am I correct in that all the foreign models mostly show a miss to the south?

Euro is not a miss for you but not to the level of the meso's so far this am. Uk is a total miss....new icon coming out now.

Superstorm
For real. I said a couple days ago that I loved where I sat for this storm but that fact also had me terrified haha. There is going to be a super tight cutoff. Could be like 5 or 6 inches to nothing in a matter of miles..

The initial slug of precip is looking less and less impressive as dry air east of the mountains is taking a bite out of it. You can see that pretty easily on the accum map. Disappointing we can’t get favorable trends in such a nice set-up.
canderson
Sticking with my 2-4” call for MDT but won’t be surprised if it is more a 1-3” type thing here. I don’t buy the NAM at all and think the GFS even is over amped.

Disappointing we can’t get favorable trends in such a nice set-up. Plenty of time to get a small bump north to get the LSV into the better goods like the NAM is showing. The actual storm is just going to emerge from the Rockies later today. We can still get an incremental bump north.

Dry air is going to be a problem to start on the northern edge like we are. No sense in wishing this thing further north.
