mahantango#1
A nearly stationary lake effect snow band has set up in Clearfield, Centre, and Mifflin County this morning and has not moved much in the past 4 hours. Blizzard of 93
Here are the 6z Euro & 6z GFS. The goalposts seem to be narrowing. Hopefully by tonight we start to see the small bumps back a little north to get more of the southern half of PA into the better snow.

Bubbler86
I see the SREF's (The Nam Ensembles) getting tossed around on the MA. That means the plumes map itself cannot be far behind! It is not a winter storm without plumes! 1
WmsptWx
I'm just waking up. The lake gave us more snow up here overnight than we will likely see on Monday by a damn sight.

Blizzard of 93
The 3k NAM looks very good with for the southern half of PA. The run ends at 60 hours, with more snow to go. Hopefully more short range guidance trends this direction as we approach game time.
Blizzard of 93
The 3k NAM depiction of the precip shield is what you typically see in the southern half of PA when a low is in Eastern Tennessee & western NC.

WmsptWx
Yep. This snow ain't going anywhere for a while. I didn't expect to have to shovel this morning and it is currently 16°F. Miami sounds like a wonderful destination right now. 2

Superstorm
As we anxiously await the next run of the SNOWINPA model, today is a two-fer. It's the latest sunrise of the year AND it's perihelion. When the Earth is closest to the sun, it is travelling faster in its orbit (Keplar's second law for extra brownie points). As such, meteorological winter is roughly 2 days shorter than meteorological summer in the northern hemisphere. Yep. Love those astronomical stats!.

Mount Joy Snowman
Low of 26 here and .8” of snow off of .09” liquid. It just looks like winter outside. Man I hope we’re not slowly losing this storm. Don’t get me wrong, I still think us southerners are good for at least a few inches but I’m starting to get that eerie feeling. Next 24 hours crucial.
