I know that area it can be bad with a little rain coming down the hill whiling driving up the slight hill. then to many people forget about that damn speedbump and lose control. Voyager
It'll be interesting to see if that band can make it past I-81, the squall and thunderstorm killer up my way. Presuming they get a clean event Monday and a half decent amount of snow on top of the LES/upslope, it might actually be a good up there next week. AccuChris
18z Euro Kuchera map. Compared to the 12z there was an ever subtle shift north of the heaviest band. 3
Blizzard of 93
Look how similar the 18z Euro & 18z GFS are at 1 pm on Monday. The low positions & general reach & size of the precip shield are very close. Only real difference is the amount of juice in the precip field for our region. I really like where we stand at this range.
whiteout
Beginning to think this one just isn’t ours, far as the big totals. The Euro and UK been pretty steadfast on DC and south getting the big totals. Thinking right now a 2”-4” deal in the LSV, with totals up to 6” at the MD line. . I was born at Fulton County Medical Centre. Until I moved to Clearfield, my doctor was in McConnellsburg, which is insane because I used to drive from Palmyra to McConnellsburg to get my temperature checked. I've spent too damned much time at that Sheetz. It's the town feedbag and gossip mill. They deserve mixed bag events until they figure out a way to do their fall festival in a manner that doesn't make you want to consider driving over to Chambersburg or Breezewood to get into town from Burnt Cabins.
