Reading the pbp, I kind of got excited. The I looked at the snowfall map, and the evolution of the precipitation shield, and reality set in.

It was a significant move northward as to the precip shield.  The 12Z nam was much less north of the T-Pike.   1-3" now up to ABE and still snowing.

Temp is 29.4 with light snow - what your wife reported came through here a short time ago and bolstered my total to 0.7". "Good snows" lasted about 15 minutes.

Looks like my call for 2" lollipops will fail to verify, unless I can get someone to report from Mt. Pisgah, Mt. Nebo, Welsh Mt., or the like.  Even then, perhaps not ha.  Still, a beautiful scene.  Any snow is a win in my book, always and forever.

I will be stressed checking my phone all weekend as I will not be home much.  Hopefully someone picks up the PBP.  If you @paweather, let it play out :-).  The best PBP's have no opinion in them, just facts or what the poster thinks is fact.

I am not sure how much I will be at home either. But we shall see.

Sorry if I'm so cynical, but this is just a bad reminder of the double barreled heartbreak of February 2010 where both blizzards gave Tamaqua 2 and 4 inches respectfully as confluence ate away at the northern extent of the precipitation shield.

I sat and watched band after band of heavy snow move north towards me only to get eaten up by the dry air.

I post much less on weekends as we're usually on the go. Weekends are follow the leader, and to be clear, I'm not the one in front. Weekends are "yes, dear" days. Chief reason why we've made it this far. I know my role.

Solid 1” here in Akron. Pretty much done now. Appetizer is good. Waiting for main course sun/mon.
