WmsptWx Posted yesterday at 11:24 AM Share Posted yesterday at 11:24 AM Looks like another little batch of snow overnight. I don't think much but it's enough the dogs made fresh prints.
WmsptWx Posted yesterday at 12:02 PM Share Posted yesterday at 12:02 PM It was enough for plows down on the road in front of the house. The road hadnt fully caved so I think that's a case of a plow guy wanting to scrape.

pawatch Posted yesterday at 01:10 PM Share Posted yesterday at 01:10 PM 23 degrees and snow flurries, 14 mph gust. Almost a repeat of yesterday just not as much snow.
ChescoWx Posted yesterday at 01:14 PM Share Posted yesterday at 01:14 PM With yesterday's 14th minor (as most of them have) winter event we are now at 80% of our normal snowfall through yesterday and only about 5 inches below normal. Today will again remain below freezing before we rise to near normal for the weekend and above normal for much of next week. Before we turn back to below normal temperatures to close out February and start March. The next chance of any precipitation looks to be toward Tuesday evening. While there are still weeks of opportunity left to enjoy wintry weather, the realization really hit me this morning that we're turning a corner towards spring. (also interesting that I felt this at a time it was in the teens) The posts are far fewer today which sort of matches the transition we often see as winter starts to slowly fade away. This is not me punting. Just sharing that today feels different. Circling back to this post from yesterday - I'm not ready to let go of winter just yet. Although...my forecast for next week includes at least 4 days with highs at or above 50. Can't say I'm not looking forward to that.
Itstrainingtime Posted yesterday at 01:40 PM Share Posted yesterday at 01:40 PM GFS is uninspiring through it's entire run this morning. Big east coast low to close out the first week of March that slips east of us but would have likely been a rainer anyway. There is no one talking about LR threats in the MA sub either. I think partly because a lot of people are jaded by this week's epic miss and well...there just isn't much looking forward to see.

After today, Accuweather doesn't have a single day below freezing for me from here on out. Temps into 40s and 50s most of March and 60s to start April. When the wind is not blowing, I think I can I hear that Willie Nelson song starting to play off in the distance.

Clocks jump forward in a week. To me that's the sign to stop hunting for snow.
ChescoWx Posted yesterday at 02:44 PM Share Posted yesterday at 02:44 PM Some snow totals through yesterday from across the country vs. their seasonal average snow to date. Some surprises in there for sure! 2

So the earliest it could ever change in March is the 8th. 1
