actually tomorrow event og was suppose to be mostly snow up until recently saw models calling for 5 inchs maybe mixed with a little sleet I have little confidence in the storm being anything on tuesday ive even seen recently some models showing ending as rain washing a good bit of the snow away. while yes I always say models suck but if the last few years showed us anything lol

This is 100% false.

I'll take that but the largest singular snowfall I've had this year is I believe 5 inches. This area has been the definition of nickel and dimed.

Thats how it is here (just enough to have shitty roads to drive on all the time :))

Every 5-10 yrs we get a double digit snowfall

Well guys...it's rather obvious by there being zero posts when the GFS is out past 192 hours.  I hope the second set of 192 hours comes back to life.  I"ll save you all the trouble of looking (this is on referring to the 0Z GFS)...MDT receives 1" during the entire first 192 hours.  For tomorrow it gives MDT a total of 0.25" qpf for the whole storm.  What an incredible reversal of emotions between last night and tonight.  Bipolar describes it best.

The last few days have taught the observer in Schrödinger's cat is very analogous to the NAM. Being able to see so many model runs that go outside the NAM range is like being able to look into the box and see cat both alive and dead for all possible future conditions

If you can show us the model that had 5" of sn/ip for HBG for this weekends event, I'd love to see it.  And I'm not talking perty colored snow maps.  You've done this plenty long enough to know they are usually bunk with mix events.

Blizz is correct, this one has been modelled as a mix down in the LSV for many days.  You just take your sloppy inch and like it.

Tues #2 is and has been our first legit chance for appreciable snow in the LSV, and then you can start adding up a few inches, if were lucky...or you can drive to VA an shovel some into your trunk and throw it into your yard so the that #3 can wash it away.  (thats a joke....for now).

26 this AM.  Finding that I lost 5" of snow today, per previous posts, depresses me.

Early morning NAM extrapolated should pick many up for #2 Tuesday event.  qpf notably north of GFS counterpart.

and just looking at 6z GFS, it also comes a bit north for Tuesday.  #rightwherewewantit  ;)

Sorry to hear that man!
Hopefully we have a good trend for Tuesday to try to brighten your day.

thx

Life (and death) happens....this one just ended too soon.

I'll give you the honors of sharing Calvert Cnty MD winner winner chicken dinner w/ 49" on 6z GFS perty snow map (hr 378) for some eye candy.

If you spit coffee on screen.....I warned you.

I don't feel like screenshotting it, but is the HRRR on crack? I just looked at the 9z run and it has me at 6 inches of snow on the Kuchera scale for today.

You’re right…the last several runs of the HRRR even show a couple of inches down to the PA turnpike.

Maybe we get a little surprise… or it’s on something as you said, lol.

Ok, just for you…

The upcoming blocking pattern could support a strong coastal…fun times are possibly ahead the rest of the month.

@Voyager this is your revised WWA today. Now says up to 3 inches for you.

Maybe the HRRR “sniffed” it out, lol.
