Yes. Way too cold. I don't mind highs upper 30s to mid 40s, and low 25+.

I'm seriously thinking of quitting my job and trying to find something that isn't affected by weather. Stressing about snow, and as a water hauler, the frigid cold, is just wearing on me. At 57 years old though, and trucking for over 30 of them, not sure who would hire me to start a new career.

HH GFS is a most of PA Ice Storm on Ground Hogs weekend.  Stay tuned for the next evolution of the unforecastable period.

We truly haven't seen a true ice storm like the 90s and early 2000s in some time. We are due for a very serious one at this point

I would not put this situation in a high possibility for us.  Really fighting the cold air wanting to leave.

This kind of cold hasn’t happened since 1994. You won’t have to deal with it very often.

Lol, just showing what the model run spit out…

Again, it doesn’t mean I believe it…

But, we are far from done this season.

I know my friend, I know. Just razzin ya a bit. Merely lamenting the GFS long range shenanigans, but I would never say we’re done in January. I don’t call curtains until April. I’m a snow junkie. I’ll take it however and whenever.

Same here, I’ll track first flakes to the last possible chance in Spring.

I’m looking forward to the next trackable chance. Hopefully the cutoff later next week trends in our direction.

Just before 1:00am I am 5 degrees below my forecast low of 13 at 8.1 F.  I'm not expecting zero or even below for a 4th consecutive night.  My dewpoint is currently +4 F so I'll pick +4 to +5 for my overnight low.  My high earlier today (yesterday) was 23.7 F.  It really doesn't look like I've lost much snow cover from my front lawn, which faces south.  If I get up close to 30 on Friday I'll definitely lose some from the front.  However, my backyard has lost virtually nothing since Sunday since the majority of the yard faces north and gets almost no sun still in late Jan.

That'll be $5 please.  For $5 more dollars I will tell you it probably goes below 0 tonight but if you do not, we can call it even.

I thank you on a great call on the temp for me overnight. I think you'll make out better predicting sustained winds and gusts in the "burg. That's a money maker there. Btw I just mailed out the $5 in a envelope without a no return address.

Off our favorite small town, both the GFS and Euro Op's trended positively for the Ground Hog Day bash.    A winter storm for this forum which all variety of precip.   The track for the low to cut was shifted East again and we get over running into cold air supplied by a departing high.  Not pretty but trackable.
