UFOs. They're going to come out and announce that we have made contact with aliens and they have designated the current POTUS as global liason to the alien race, and this is how they enact a suspension of transfer and shit gets real.

Gahdam this tinfoil hat is getting warm.

I am surprised people are not trying to shoot them down.

I think give it some time. I think this is just entering the consciousness of the collective. A few more news cycles in the pole position and somebody is headed to Jersey with 50 cal.

ALEET !

For some reason during my lunch break, I decided to take another look at CTP’s daily climate summary. Much to my surprise, they revised it this morning!

MDT is officially on the board with .8 of snow yesterday.

I called them and they said some guy from Williamsport called and complained.

I just thought maybe it was a case of they only report 12/24hr snowfall at 7pm/am (0/12z). Original forum post this morning with the MDT climo report was issued at 220am where the “revised” one was issued 713am.

At any rate here’s this, it seems most CTP stations saw something measurable yesterday.

2.4” was my final tally here, most of which is still on the ground currently as we’re socked in fog and it’s only 34ºF.

I guess I've got a pretty good eye (despite the beginnings of macular degeneration) because earlier I said it looked like we got about 2 inches and that graphic shows Tamaqua at 1.9 inch.

There's a guy in a house a few down from me that's always blowing leaves out of his yard. Drives his immediate neighbors crazy. So we just got finished getting a 10 minute or so downpour and he was out there blowing leaves. Rain stops and a minute later he stops blowing. Add on top of that it's dark outside. Just crazy. You'd think he'd at least check the radar first.

Right after or during rain is the best time to blow leaves and debris out of mulch beds.

in his defense, they do suck and their measurements for "official data" frequently is not close to what anyone around them measures. So somebody who is data driven or like to be historically accurate( like me) it matters. Its one reason i started writing notes, because they are inaccurate ALL THE TIME :D

Thanks, I’m just happy that someone up there took a second look & made it right.

Many times over the years the bad measurements have gone in the books with no second look.

The latest Euro Weeklies today show a workable pattern developing by the beginning of January. This run shows the first 3 weeks of next month should at least give us chances.

My concern is precip. Freebie maps look dry during the colder weeks.

D@mn STJ is Mia thanks to Niña. Also, we need the trough axis to be more conducive for passing short waves under us versus what we've had and then redevelop with Atlantic moisture, or it's dry when cold.

Hate to sound picky, but it has been 4 years since a 6"+ snow storm.  :(

Then what about all the other times? Lol

Lol Same thing. Waiting for the rain so he can remove debris from the mulch without blowing it all away. Probably a clean  mulch nazi. I blow leaves and do other yard work in my yard up to 9pm all year, and work in my garden untill  4am every other night in the spring through fall. Luckily my neighbors all understand I march to the beat of a different drum, and respect my unorthodox lifestyle.

would of been nice if the snow stuck around more then 12 hours from last night :( we had so many chances to the upcoming christmas for a snow storm or a white christmas. its starting to look less and less likely in the southern PA area
