Wouldn't shock me if the models drastically beef up or cut back on snow projections on the southern and eastern areas with the 12z runs as the temp difference between a coating/.5" and 2-3" is very slight. It's hard to think they had that nailed down before this morning.

That depict, albeit just a forecast, is a great visual of how my area as well as much of Adams, York and Lancaster surrender like the French when there is any south westerly component and temps are marginal.

Maybe so, but almost certain you’d be dumping snow for a while in that depiction.

We start off as snow here but in that specific picture, it has changed to rain.   It/thermals charges right up between Blue Ridge Summit and Whitetail.  Speaking of skiing, Liberty and Whitetail going to try and open the 20th but I was told it "may" not happen as of now due to the warmth and rain next week.   Roundtop is opening today.

Low of 21, currently sitting at 28/21. Continue to like this event for true central PA, particularly the corridor from state college to scranton. Could be some 6” lollipops, perhaps even a little south of that corridor. No show down this way but would love to see some fat wet snow globe flakes, which I think we will at some point, albeit briefly. No need to throw 10:1 maps around in a marginal event like this. As always, put me in Laporte. Ah you know what, put me on top of Seven Mountains for this one and call it a day. Cheers!

Yeah I know. We will turn to rain likely right before or after 7. Just happy to see snow fall for a period of time.

We are off to our chilliest first 2 weeks of December in 15 years. We continue below average today with some rain and a little freezing drizzle arriving early this evening. Temperatures should rise to the mid 30's today before falling back to near or a little below freezing at the onset of precipitation. We should then see a slow rise in temperatures to above freezing by 9pm across all spots in the county. Rain should end by noon tomorrow before rain returns again tomorrow night. Rain amounts by noon tomorrow look to be in the 0.50" to 0.75" range. Warming through Wednesday and then back to seasonably chilly temperatures to close out the work week.
