At 1:00pm the sun is shining brightly, but it's a bit windy with steady 8-13 mph.  However, the chill is not that terrible since the temperature has just reached 57.6 degrees.  With no clouds to hold it back I think 60 is at least a possibility around here.

Unfortunately, Penn State drew the noon kickoff.

Tell me about it. I reserved tickets but man for me to pull that off on the family holiday weekend is going to take some serious assuaging of my wife ha. But how about that path, SMU and then Boise. Couldn’t draw it up much better. With that said, I know how this all ends haha.

Yes sir. Great draw.

You know, if the committee had gone with 'Bama over the Mustangs, I'm going to guess that Penn State-Alabana wouldn't be at noon.

There's that gratuitous beachfront Niña storm/bliz. You knew it would show up eventually.

Crazy ending to my walk just now. Came to an intersection a few blocks from my house and it's all residential.  There are 7 deer. 3 split off of the group and head right toward me at about 50', so got behind a tree, and then they cut right. The other group were just watching around 100 feet away. Then 2 of the 3 that cut right came back from in between the houses in my general direction, but I had already walked away from the tree. Fortunately, they wanted no parts of me and went down the road and through an intersection.  Fortunately, no cars. So I'm heading back around a block from there and 3 from the other group are no tearing down the center of my road as I was about to turn onto it and they went straight into a back yard to God knows where. I'm too damn old for this nature crap. I didn't move to Hanover to experience wildlife in the wilds of my neighborhood streets!

Train home cancelled. The last one home is sold out. They went $340 pp NYP to PHL. So I guess NJ Transit to Trenton then Septa to 30th St then the last Amtrak home. Getting in 3 hours later than scheduled.

Great way to ruin a good Broadway trip.

I think Boise should be favored in that game.  I would argue Boise should be #2 right now.   Hopefully they do not fall flat on their fact and make that comment look foolish.  They play up and down to their competition.   I know you do not concur but I would not want to play them with rb going for the NCAA rushing record.

All the NWS stations around the LSV got 55-60 today and that is nothing compared to Tue and Wed if the trends continue.

Good call on the warm temps today.

Chalk one up for team warm.

Oh believe me, I don’t “want” to play them but relative to playing Georgia, Texas, Oregon, etc., it’s not a bad draw. Always nice to not be operating from a talent disparity, and yet, no one will be shocked if Boise or SMU knock off Penn State. Let the chips fall where they may!

Well said.  I think that the offense PSU showed yesterday, albeit it some bad D-Line play by Oregon IMO, they can beat anyone.    They will probably need to score quite a bit to counter Kevin Jennings.  Before yesterday, SMU's only loss came in a game Jennings did not play well/start.   But would be truly surprised/stunned if PSU loses game 1 at home.  Neutral site would have been more worrisome.
