Managed to spike to 40 here in rou.  Warmer higher up as it is 42 up the hill in pen mar.   It is almost almost totally sunny here which is a big part of the spike.  Someone may grab a 55-60 tomorrow.

Your forecast point & click in southern Franklin county is upper 40s tomorrow.

Doing my annual tradition of pointing out that today is the earliest sunset of the year.  Enjoy the extra few seconds of evening light tomorrow and it only gets longer from there.  The latest sunrise isn't for another month or so.  The culprit basically is the discontinuity between calendar and solar time.  If you really want to waste a few minutes, here's a more detailed explanation:

What Is the Equation of Time?

Thanks for the reminder!    You can also check out the GFS 300+ hours re: bolded.

I'll savor this evening and lament tomorrow. I like it dark as early as possible.

Made it to 38 here this afternoon. Already down to 35 at 4:25pm.

Add MU to the 50s bandwagon tomorrow. He's got 54 for Lanco.

How long until he jumps on the 60's bandwagon for Tue and/or Wed (maybe both!)?  Carpet and Tile guys may need to go back to their original forecast.

Edit-just realized he already has 60 on his Tue range/point and click.

Yep, was just going to say that.

Lol, there is No way anyone outside of 1 backyard thermometer near Rouzerville that will reach 60 this week.

You crack me up. We literally went through this a few years ago in February when you said the exact same thing. (No way we would reach 60)

And how warm did it get?

78!!!

Nope, but someone earlier said the Mets at CTP are just AI bots…

I said nothing about MU.

I miss Horst.

The zone forecasts are often automated.  The met's do not sit down and think through each forecast over a several mile period.    "I will give Rouzerville a 56 today but Marysville is only going to get to 55."    They do not have time for that BUT they do approve the AI/automated edits.

No, someone was talking 80 back then, so I had an issue with that call.

That is not true. I have re-read that entire exchange many times. :)

The only people involved in that were the 2 of us and all I did was respond to your "no 60" call by saying that I wouldn't have been surprised if we hit 70.

Whatever, but I personally think there will be many that will reach 60 next week.

Time will tell.

Lol, I think that was the Winter of 2018. We torched in mid to late February. The NAO blocking was coming back & the pattern was drool worthy. We eventually scored a couple of times & I think we got 15 to 20 of snow that month if I’m not mistaken.

I remember being upset with the torching, but I was way more focused on the coming pattern that year that eventually delivered.

It was 2018. The "heat wave" ended with a Tornado Warning for Maytown. We were in our basement fleeing in the month of February. There was a funnel cloud spotted near Wrightsville which is just 5 miles southwest of me.

Wow, that’s right. What a crazy period of weather that Winter season. We got all of the extremes & above average snow eventually that season.

The only good thing about early winter sunsets is that it's dark out at my 7:30pm weekday bedtime.
