Went for a walk around 7am in mixed rain and snow. Temps were well above freezing. The path around the pond had icy spots and I took a spill. Ice was unnoticeable so I bit it hard.. Bruised knee and twisted back will tell me how bad things are soon. Anyways, it was not bad at all. Temps were good and winds were inconsistently breezy so it was not bad and the skies looked very cool.

Family in bel air said coming down well and even accumulating on the road in this burst.

Just rain near Greenbelt.

Had some flurry action earlier. Good squalls were very isolated and missed our area.

Haven’t seen many spotter reports (slackers!), but based on social media pictures, the Carroll-Baltimore-Harford counties area got a solid 0.5”+ this morning.

Folks in my area and into Fairfax county reported seeing flakes/sleet at 5 am. But I was sleeping. By the time I woke up at 6:45, it was just wet. Possible I missed a dusting that melted within 10 min, but if I didn’t see it, it didn’t happen.

10am Thursday:

Temp 16° has been steady all morning. Breezy. Steady light non-accumulating snow this morning. Overcast now but has been some off and on peaks of sun.   Measured 3” altho NWS reports 5” four miles east of Grantsville. I’m a little to the west.

Rain showers. Nice weather to squeeze in between two periods of cold.

About 20 minutes after posting this above, I took the kids to the bus stop and we had a small snow shower. That makes four Traces on the season!

Just rain here at that time, I believe.  We had a pretty heavy sleet shower (with a few mangled flakes mixed in) around 7:30-7:45.  It dusted the deck but not the grass.

Blizzard warning extended until 7am here.

I can't remember the last time we had a blizzard warning, much less two of them prior to 12/5

@jonjon Do the conditions warrant? The Canaan Heights station almost always gets half again as much snow as I do (I get 4, he gets 6. I get 10, he gets 15 etc) and seeing the 10 inch report this morning shocked me. I might have had 3 max. The sun was out all day here with just pedestrian blowing snow that didn't impact visibility at all.
