Jebman
WOW you guys in Dale City are COLD!!! I am getting my daily weather readings right now, and Dale City is a frigid 29 degrees with an 11-degree dewpoint! Man, that's downright Magadan, Russia COLD! That's WAAAAAAAAY too cold for me down here in TX! Just saw Charles Town, West Virginia, in your region is running ~24/13, damn that's cold as crap! They are definitely gonna see some wintry with that next system. Just saw MGM National Harbor in MD, running 24 degrees with an 11 degree dewpoint, not counting those northerly breezes! Boy that would be a good time for a hearty jebwalk on that deck at National Harbor Casino!

Ji
Yes, Truly horrible. They don't play any defense and can't consistently score. Jordan Poole has to be the worst trade by the organization ever. Should have taken Edy in the draft too as he could have been a piece to build around. They also should have made Tom Thibideau an offer when he was available. Might be the worst team of all time lol
Jebman
Damn, major FREEZE may be coming next week midweek for south central Texas. Sayonara to all our flavorful super sweet figs. We've been snacking on those all summer and this fall. Damn these arctic fronts! I thought this was supposed to stay well east! I HATE arctic fronts and winter in south Texas! I love arctic fronts and deep snow in the Mid Atlantic! Our normal January high temps are supposed to be around 59! So why are we stuck near 50 today in early Dec? Look, I don't want another repeat of February 2021 or 2022. That was hell down here! We are not prepared for it. I want that to happen to the DC Region with highs in the upper negative single digits and three feet of powder snow worthy of Mammoth in an all-out AR! And Blizzard Warnings covering everyone from North Maine down to south Georgia and west past West Virginia! Hey, It's YOUR TURN, now! The Atlantic Circulation stops cold. A storm forms then gets captured in the classic 40/70 Benchmark position relevant to most of the DC Metro Region, then spins in place and dumps ridiculous amounts of snow for the DC Region for days and days from a Brobdingnagian sized TROWAL, making DC resemble Erie, PA in a major Lake Effect Snow scenario, for about 7 days. (Let's see George BM do better than THAT outcome in one of his weather yarns!) RIDDLE me this Batman: How on earth can Texas get so freezing COLD and Mammoth gets NO SNOW? I crave my next snow fix on mammoth mountain!

Then my next door neighbor. Then the damn guy across the street, finally the lady directly across from us. I was exhausted and truly weary of snow, and some neighbor just had to put in, "I want to see you demonstrate those Jebman Standards." That's what I get from fifty years of running my big mouth about digging snow. I NEVER even realized many of my neighbors were reading American Weather, and even Eastern US Weather before that!!!! Now, they can all dig snow. Ha ha ha, I am safe in snowfree south central Texas.

This is a weather discussion board-all aspects and components of weather. You model worshippers are stuck with no ability to discuss anything other than what models give to you. They are inefficient as far as the One aspect and one aspect only that I identify-wintertime low pressure placements for eastern 1/3 of nation. that needs correction and I will continue to address that reality. Mostly what I do is observations, with models a small segment of what I say, and I’m here 365 unlike the snow bunnies so I will keep talking as I see fit Moving this to the Banter thread where I think my reply would be more appropriate. I don't normally like to step into these things too much, but am compelled to do so here... This isn't about free speech. It's not like your post was deleted by mods or anything like that. Besides, this board is a privately run entity (not run by or sponsored by the government!), so mods or administrators can set the rules, remove posts, or move them to a more appropriate thread as they see fit (and they have done that). You're not being freakin' censored for what you said, dude! @high risk merely said to stop spouting nonsense about models; it's not like he said you have no right to express your opinion (he even said "please" stop spouting nonsense!). Free speech does not mean freedom from consequences or pushback. If you say something that is out of line or wrong, someone has the right to call you out on it. While I agree with you on the point that too many here cling to every single model cycle and incremental change (with much tearing of hair and gnashing of teeth!), I'll still say you have a stunningly negative and myopic view about numerical weather prediction. Most people who know what they're talking about, and who are not being overly weenie-ish, are well aware of the biases and limitations of models. They use them as appropriate tools, and are able to impart their knowledge and expertise to make an assessment; they aren't model worshippers. 4

MillvilleWx
Looks like Orioles coming in with a bit of an underrated signing here. Tyler O’Neil OF to a 3/$49.5 mil deal. That’s actually not a bad signing, but still not a major splash signing. I like it, but we’ll see how the rest of the off-season progresses.
Jebman
Man it was COLD in south central TX today only 48 and drizzle! Man this is gonnabe a record bad winter! I wish I lived in the Central Amazon hunting River Monsters with Jeremy Wade! They never get cold there! I am perfectly miserable in this frigid wasteland! It's wonderful at 94/72 with brilliant sunshine and dusty trees and months of that delightful weather ahead! So much for La Nina and drier and warmer!!! NO SUCH ANIMAL here in Texas this year. We are shyte OUT OF LUCK. Its gonnabe record cold and we will lose all of our beloved plants. Probably record ice accretion as well, breaking three foot wide oak trees right off! Meanwhile on the other side of the meteorological ledger, the DC Metropolitan Region will be far below normal, with recurrent storms, many of which will dump crippling amounts of powdery wind driven snow! People in the DC area will be absolutely sick to death of shoveling snow and numerous snowblowers will blow gaskets! Major unrest will develop over parking spaces and neighbors squabbling over who should dig what snow! People exchanging blows and even going all-out MMA over a frickin' BAG OF RANCH FLAVORED NACHOS! PSU having to clamber out of fourth floor windows just to get out and have a look at the incredible New Ice Age monster drifts! Yeah this will be an exciting, but highly whiplashed variable winter in the Mid Atlantic! I'll just have to freeze slowly to death in Texas this winter amidst the wreckage of numerous oak trees smashed by 97 billion year ice storms as climate change runs amok.
