Winter feels short when December is an extension of November. Not setting any records (imby), but yeah, it's been cold with at least some snow cover 24 days since the arctic intrusion at Thanksgiving. And I have 5-5 1/2" depth for my Whitest Christmas in 7 yrs. Hard to complain with this past decade of duds.

How much did you get? 1/4" of ice. Then 1/3" of sleet/ice mixture. Then 3/4" of snow on top. Very sloppy day. How much did you get of snow? Was hoping for a bit more snow then the ice/sleet we got here as some of the models showed. It will be a White Christmas here (yours a bit whiter ) .

Our first since 2020. Merry Christmas

Spartman
Yesterday looked to be the last time for any sunshine for the year. Suicide weather on this Christmas Eve today, light rain for Christmas tomorrow. Christmas Eve today kicks off what potentially looks to be a with a long overcast stretch lasting through the remainder of the month and through the beginning of the new year, likely reminiscent of the late January 2024 overcast stretch that occurred earlier this year. Definitely a long crappy final weekend of 2024 ahead.

It seemed like you guys got some good lake effect snow though? Did it melt away or was your area outside the lake effect band. Hopefully we all beat last years disaster. YYZ is at 8.8" so far. We finished Nov with zero snowfall and will finish Dec within an inch of our 91-20 normal, but 2.5" short of 71-00 normals. Temperature wise, going to finish warm again for the 7th year in a row. Beautiful white Christmas though. Merry Christmas

The rest of December looks pretty blah around here, maybe we can get something gong after January 2nd before the next warm up which will probably happen faster than what the long range models are showing.

Brian D
Rain coming to an end thankfully. Up to an inch around the area. Now the slow slide into wintery wx again during the next few days. Barely had a white Christmas in town, and now back to brown. With the upcoming pattern, some vigorous clippers would be nice.
