Just measured 2.5" from this clipper. Looking like a winter wonderland. HRRR has been showing a strong LES band off Georgian Bay tomorrow that reaches into Toronto and possibly dropping up to 2" especially north of 401. We'll see if that pans out.

Good thing my meeting in Mississauga was moved. Might have gotten a bit dicey around London

Cold, windy stretch. Temps bottomed out before midnight in the sd's, then started to slowly rise through the night with a small dip at sunrise this morning. Temps in the sd's with windy conditions brought wind chills down to near -20F. Highs around 20F near the Lake today, 15 inland. Yesterdays high of 29 here in town was met at around 8am to a low around 9F 13 hrs later at 9pm. Furnace running quite frequently with the wind.

Will be interesting to see where we end up on these futility lists? Currently, many areas are undergoing a 2-year snow drought without historical precedence.

Toledo needs 12.9" or more of snowfall by the end of December to avoid the least snowy 2 year period on record.

Mansfield needs at least 14.7" to avoid the least snowy 2-year period on record [among 2-year periods using a very liberal 300 missing days limitation]. There are quite a bit of missing days for the second and third place years. Typically, if it's a multiple of 30/31, it's because they simply didn't record snowfall in the summer and early fall, and it's being interpreted as missing data [even though it obviously didn't snow]. But these are not multiples of 30/31, suggesting some data quality issues. They would need 20.1" to beat last year, which is the lowest 2-year period with no missing data

Canton/Akron Airport requires a whopping 22.0" the rest of the month to avoid the least snowy 2-year period on record. Simply amazing.

Just got a half inch here, which compressed a bit with the 40mph wind gusts, though I wasnt expecting much. Unlike the Nov 29 event, this part of SE MI did not look to be in a good spot. First biting cold morning of the season, low at DTW was 19F but wind chills hovered just above 0 and untreated roads were icy.
