Elevation definitely helped. Even a few miles to my north got 2-2.5x the accumulation with a little elevation.

No ruler here. but I estimate around 4 inches here north of Waterbury (into Litchfield county) but I could be wrong.

When I woke up I saw on social media a link to NWS reports and Bristol got 6.5 inches. I wonder if that's true! That certainly wasn't projected anywhere in Hartford county.

That's crazy, and when these squalls and the front comes through, they're calling for 45 to 50 mph winds. Plan on a bunch more limbs and trees coming down later.

Trees caked here.. had some fluff and some dense wet stuff mixed in
