gonegalt
Windy from the SE. Mod to Hvy, a couple inches of windblown on top of 4" frozen base. River freezing up fast last few days. Snowfall makes the fastest buildup of river ice so let er snow.

Get credit for the day, and it gives crews the time to clean stuff up.

I take issues with their closures especially with something like this where the snow has ended. Save the closures for when it snows during school hours. Travel at 10am around town will be fine for buses. Roads are already wet anyway. I get it though, there’s more to the decision but it makes it really difficult on parents. Anyway, happy winter howling for a couple days.

Northeast of here a very short distance is Quabbin at equal height, but south and west it drops quite a bit. 5 minutes ago, Damage In Tolland said: 8.5” https://i.imgur.com/zVTCUOm.jpeg Jackpot. The world would have to be ending for us to get school cancelled in West Hartford. We would mostly get late openings or early dismissals. Now if the Sun is too bright or its above 75 school closes for a week
