I think we”ll need over 4” for any real damage. 6” seems to be the magic number. And i won’t see that much .

Your area will be a battle zone or close to it I think. Definitely may be a nail biter for a time. But I think you’ll do decently.  I’ve accepted that you can do well at your spot.

It ain’t the NW hills , but it’s the 2nd best spot in the state for snow.

Still a little surprised that they don't have Litchfield and Hartford county in the winter weather advisory. I can understand right in the valley by the river. The snow not sticking as well, but just west of Hartford. When you get into the hills, we should definitely do better, at least be in the advisory category. I'm about 550 ft up, there's plenty of places higher than me around here. I guess we'll see if they put them up later on this afternoon

For those getting 4-6”+ tonight, the cold period gonna deliver for them overnight tonight.   Congrats and enjoy.  Hoping to pull 1-2” with this…and cover the ground.   That 18z HRRR would be great.

I’m still a bit skeptical but 2”+ would be great. HRRR def colder and RAP has trended colder as well all day…it tries to bring accumulating snow to close-in metrowest Boston like near Jerry’s hood.

Nearby PWS is at 36.5/25.5.  I'm hoping for an inch or two tonight here in the valley. A good chunk of the snow from yesterday's squalls has melted.
