Dec 5-6th clipper threat

This clipper is the type of event where the narrow elevations west of Quabbin should do well.  And also where there will likely be a pronounced difference from the valley bottoms to the semi upland areas.  Would be great for that advy to verify, 3km looks sweet.

Gonna be a big difference between even the highest elevations of towns like Barre and Warren versus eastern spine of ORH hills near Holden/Princeton. Anytime there’s a strong W and SW flow, that QPF gradient sets up. Wouldn’t surprise me if a place like winter hill got 2” and 10-15 miles west at similar (or even lower) elevation gets 4-6”.

Petersham/New Salem/Shutesbury all average more snow than the surrounding areas.

Yeah. His team won their “group”.  I don’t know the verbiage.     I will ask him.

Look at HRRR and 3k. Bennington never jacks, its a pit. Its east and northeast of them. They will probably still get a few inches though, I know your new-ish to SVT, lot of terrain nuances come into play on pretty much every system, even clippers.

Forecast high is close to 40 here on Thursday so I figure even 2-3” will only be about an 1.5” of pack on the ground by Friday morning.    At least it will look wintery for the weekend.

Yeah, I'd imagine you're in a good spot for this one. I'm on the wrong side of the hill for this kind of setup, but I still think I should be able to snag 3 or 4 inches.

Yes, but not by much.  500-900' in Sturbridge vs. 600-1000' in Holland/Wales.

My SIL lives on a high spot in Holland and always do well in these setups. Sturbridge, not so much.

Yea, being west of the spine normally works out in these setups.

That lake effect/upslope connection looks good for your area.

Just run this play and the west slopes of SVT can do well.

That’s how these SW upslopes generally work . Unless 00z yanks undies off .. I don’t see why you don’t get 4-6” and 2-4” here

I looked at that. It looks like some sort of WF convergence because flow is SW.
