We had a two hour delay, and they just went to a 3hr delay here.

I take issues with their closures especially with something like this where the snow has ended. Save the closures for when it snows during school hours. Travel at 10am around town will be fine for buses. Roads are already wet anyway. I get it though, there’s more to the decision but it makes it really difficult on parents.

Anyway, happy winter howling for a couple days.

I completely understand that…And sympathize with you for sure.

Are you near the west slopes? I assume so.

Yeah only 540' but higher terrain just north.  Northeast of here a very short distance is Quabbin at equal height, but south and west it drops quite a bit.

I never had a delay in all of my 16 years in school....

The world would have to be ending for us to get school cancelled in West Hartford. We would mostly get late openings or early dismissals. Now if the Sun is too bright or its above 75 school closes for a week
