I hear ya.  My town hired a special needs person to operate one of our three plows.  I'm all for getting those people integrated into society, but putting them in charge of a 30-ton piece of equipment is absurd.  I was at the local hardware store last Saturday and the manager and I were talking.  He has a hundred mailboxes coming in next week.

My neighbors snowplow driver would push some of the snow from my neighbors driveway and push it ten feet onto my lawn, digging up my grass. Every spring I had to fix the lawn. After 2-3 years of that I put two huge rocks in that area near the road. He hit the rock one time and never pushed snow into my yard again. I asked the guy nicely twice and he didn't listen.

This was easy to clean up, I let the sun do it.

I had the easiest cleanup.  0.00" of snow here at 284'.  For the 12+ hours of precip, we had 20 minutes of SN, 6 hours of RN/SN and a low temp of 35ºF.  If I drove in any direction for more than 15 minutes, there was accumulating snow.

4 weeks from then would have been a tougher cleanup.

Yep.  Heck, one week from then.

With my 0.1" from this morning, I am off the schneid.  Looking forward to the Thursday clipper to get my total (barely) over an inch.

No snow in Gloucester County, NJ.  We had a super time and for the first 380 miles on the return it was a slick as ever.  One mile from the Piscataqua bridge we hit the jam - crash on the bridge, southbound lane, and we s-l-o-w-l-y detoured to Rt 1.  Finally, after 95 minutes, we reached Maine on the drawbridge and as we crossed, we noted that I-95 had opened and all the cars that had been behind us were now flying ahead at 60 mph.  The jam southbound was still back to Mile 5 on the Pike as we headed north.

Next door neighbor reported 8" on T-Day; what time did the snow start at your place?   When we reached home, in 12.5 hours instead of 10.5, we found 5-6" of crunchy stuff almost able to hold us without sinking.
Wednesday's 3-6" forecast then turned into 3+6 (9.3" of 14:1 moist fluff) with 8" coming 9 PM thru 5 AM Thursday.  Still 13-14" at the stake
