We take historic snow, historic rain, and historic river flooding wrapped in one?

go bigger like Texas.  1888 snower, followed by 5" flooder, then wet wet wet ...through Spring/summer which leads to the cat 3 catastrophe late August, and call it a day!

Clearest video yet of that Delta regional crash in Toronto - all crew and passengers survived thankfully.

Not much, if any, flare there. Either there was some shear, he misjudged due to DRSN, the landing gear just simply failed, or there’s some combination of those. Amazing they all lived.

Comment on those videos seems logical.  For whatever reason, the airplane hit too hard, crushing the rear landing gear.  When the right wing broke off the left was still providing lift, hence the rollover.

It looks like most of the passengers would have died and seriously hurt, amazing they all lived and only a handful have serious injuries.

The landing doesn’t look egregiously hard…plane def got put down quickly at the end but it doesn’t seem like it should break off the landing gear like that. Guess we’ll find out more when they review the black boxes for sink rate at the end and hopefully they are able to recover some key landing gear pieces. Wouldn’t surprise me if the gear was faulty.
