I wouldn’t be punting the rest of the month when the last 10-12 days has a pretty decent amount of uncertainty.

I know weeklies aren’t exactly the poster child of accuracy but here is the 5 day H5 mean ending Xmas (Dec 21-25)….

Then here is Dec 26-30

Doesn’t exactly scream punt. I’m skeptical of any good look these days but there isn’t a strong empirical reason to assume it’s going to fail either.

Fair point. I didn’t see them. Going off gefs/eps which both establish troughs in the gulf of AK towards the end of their runs.

Oh well, let's get the misery now and get back to winter before Christmas hopefully. Every God damn year except for 2018 this happens

From the NWS:

As the trough sharpens and pushes east on Wednesday, a more coherent
frontal system forms over the Appalachians. This frontal system, in
combination with subtropical ridging in the open Atlantic, works to
push a surge of moisture and warmer air north into our area
Wednesday into Wednesday night. This has the potential to bring
rain, possibly heavy, lots of melting, and possibly some
hydrological concerns Wednesday night into Thursday.

It’s the gift that keeps on giving. Let’s all get to brown ground.

I've given up on expecting good Decembers (or winter) anymore. Used to get really upset about stuff like this, but now just accept it and move on. Sucks for sledding, but not much we can do.

You poor Little man.

Just because it's not going your way doesn't mean you have to answer with sarcasm.

There is such a thing called weather therapy. Let me know if you need the hotline

He’s angry. He’s snow starved.  His area went from the snow capitol, to zero snow the last 3 years.
