December 2024 - Best look to an early December pattern in many a year!

I thought I saw a weenie flake about 7:30PM.  One flake or dust particle.  I’m not counting it.  Another cold early December night.  12/1-8 will certainly average solidly subnormal.  Next week looks above unless we can pull off a scooter high.

There will be ice fishing on some ponds in the interior of SNE by the weekend.

00z GFS is brutal...almost entirely well above normal temps start at D5 with the exception of D11.

Pattern is lousy overall going forward. However, it is possible something could sneak in given the flow from Canada like some op runs suggest….but overall it’s lousy imo. Definitely prone to warmer solutions and cutters.

One good rainer next week unfortunately. After that doesn't look like much.

This is the December 1999 analog from my forecast composite rearing its head....def some shades of 2022, as well.

I just mean relative to expectation. I think most of us had a low bar for this month, aside from that week-long modeling keg party.

Jack dick in this pattern and then am awful look starting next week to last for awhile. Disappointing to say the least. Congrats to 1K getting a few inches out of this.

No complaints so far...anything in December is gravy IMO.

Decent cold allowing the ski areas to get a jump on the season. I can remember going to Sunday River in the Early 90’s and them only having 16 runs open in Mid December; what we see is nothing new.
