Woodstove has eaten a lot of wood over the past couple days. When it’s colder out, you really gotta keep that internal stove temp up and when it’s that hot inside the stove, the wood almost vaporizes as you put it in, lol.

weatherwiz Posted yesterday at 12:10 AM Share Posted yesterday at 12:10 AM I beat the cold! Had to go outside earlier for a few minutes and wore Thermal socks, thermal PJ bottoms, jeans, a tee-shirt, then my light green jacket, hoodie, heavier jacket, a hat, facemask, and thick winter gloves. Didn't feel any cold hahaha Wiz - 1 Fake cold - 0 F/OT 5
dendrite Posted yesterday at 12:17 AM Share Posted yesterday at 12:17 AM 17.8/-1.6 today Cold, but nothing out of the ordinary for a cold winter day. I normally expect a good 10 days like this each winter.

CON averages 8 days with a average temp of 8 degrees or less each winter.

The 3/4 cord from the arborist-felled basswood (plus some other stuff I cut) is long gone. About 5" new, 12" at the stake and light SN continuing. The rare non-Grinch!!!

dendrite
4 minutes ago, ma blizzard said: thats wild .. def have a tough time seeing it happen For these setups with strong radiating but very dry air aloft (MWN very mixed) I sometimes take the MWN dew near sunset as the HIE low. MOS has that in the lower single digits right now. It doesn’t work too well if it’s too dry…like one of those rare sub 10% RH deals where the summit is like 0/-45.
